Poly-Vinyl 4-Track Porch Windows

You may have heard of them as Eze-Breeze, but that’s just one brand. Technically, they’re called poly-vinyl 4-track window systems, and only a handful of companies manufacture them. Regardless of the brand or what you call them, they all share one thing in common: they can be tricky to clean properly — especially for homeowners.

Unlike standard glass windows, these systems use a vinyl film instead of glass. Vinyl is a soft, flexible material, which makes it much more vulnerable to scratching and clouding. Common window cleaning tools like squeegees, abrasive pads, metal scrapers, or even the wrong type of rag can cause permanent damage and reduce visibility. Our method uses a gentle, plant-based soap (Murphy’s Oil), soft non-scratch microfiber cloths and scrubbers, and pure water.
